Do You Have a Story Inside You?
Most people have a story they are dying to tell, but don't know how to get started.
That's where I come in. I can help you decipher how to tell your story, help you formulate and develop the tale or ghost write the whole book for you.
Read & Critique
Have you completed your novel or chapters in your novel, and want a professional opinion of your work?
I will read either the entire work or the first few chapters and tell you what I think. Is this ready for publication? If not, what kind of help do you need? This is an inexpensive way to get a professional opinion on how to proceed.
Mentoring
Mentoring is for people who have a story to tell but have no idea how to proceed. If you have a story that’s screaming to be told, but don’t know how to get started, you may need a mentor.
I will work one-on-one with you to show you my process and review and comment on each stage of your work. We will schedule consultations as necessary and share your work via email.
I’m here to help you write your book, but it will be your book and you will do the writing.
Book Doctoring
This is a service provided for first time authors or anyone who isn’t sure they have captured their story in the best possible way.
You finish your manuscript and send it to me. I will go over it with a fine-tooth comb looking for problems with point-of-view, plot holes, excessive exposition, unnecessary scenes or paragraphs, areas that need better explanation, logic problems, inconsistencies and story flow.
I will offer suggestions on how to rewrite sections of the book. I may write scenes to show you how I think you should proceed. Any corrections I make will save your original text so you can evaluate the change and decide if you approve.
Your manuscript will be edited in Microsoft Word and the “track changes” feature will be turned on so you can see what you wrote and my suggestions. I will also embed comments in the text.
Ghost Writing
Do you have a story to tell, but aren’t a writer? Has a story been brewing inside of you for years, yearning to be set free?
If you have no experience writing, I can help.
I will do a series of interviews with you to get the basic information you want to capture in words, then I will go through my process of writing a beat sheet, developing character sketches and writing an outline before I begin writing your book. To learn more about my process, click here.
You will have input at each step of the process, to make sure the story is evolving the way you want. There will be a deliverable at the end of each of these steps. There will be checkpoints to make sure we are proceeding in the direction you want. If at any time, you are not happy with my services, you may halt the process.
After you have signed off on the outline, I will begin writing. You will receive each chapter for review as it is written.
This will be your story; I am simply offering my expertise to help you capture it in the way you want.
This is a very personal process. You will be working one-on-one with me. You must be able to allocate the time to do your part of the process or the work cannot proceed.
