Have you written your masterpiece and published it but no one is buying?

The old saying about building a better mousetrap no longer works in the Twenty-first Century.

Today it’s all about marketing.

Whether you score a contract with a big-time publisher, sell it to a small publishing house or go independent, you will need to market you own book. Unless your name is James Patterson or J.K. Rowling, don’t expect your publisher to put much effort into selling your book for you.

If you wish to be a professional author, I have substantial experience marketing my own books to show you the path. I’d love to help you find your audience and increase sales.


This is a small investment in yourself. Instead of spending your hard earned bucks on travel and seminars, go right to the source and work with an experienced author in a one-on-one atmosphere.

Some of the services I offer will require no additional expenditures outside of my fee, but others will require you to outlay cash for advertising. I can’t guarantee a return on your investment, but I will offer strategies that have worked for me.


As a matter of fact, you may not see the return on your first advertising. It takes time to build a consumer awareness and a brand. Over the long-run, your readers will find you and you will develop a loyal tribe of followers.


The Truth

Marketing Plan

You need to write your Marketing Plan at least six months before publication date. This is hard work. I will help you define your target market and figure out how to reach them.

We will create short term, medium term and long term goals and create action steps to achieve them.

Once the Marketing Plan is done, it’s up to you to put in the work to implement it.

We will work through different scenarios and price structures. I can implement the plan for you or you can do it on your own. It’s up to you how much you want to spend on promotions.


Build an email List

Your mailing list is your bread and butter. These are readers (or should I say “fans”) who want to be in contact with you.

They have bought in to your brand and want to hear about your latest doings and new books as they come out.

I will help you build an email list that can be used to promote your products quickly and easily.

When I published my first Ted Higuera book, I had sixty-four fans on my readers list. I emailed them an announcement on publication day. I sold sixty books that first day. Those are phenomenal results for a mail-out advertisement.

I spend two hours a day on my marketing activities. If you don’t have time to devote to daily eMarketing, let me help. I will built your reader lists, send out daily tweets and posts. I’ll help you shape your advertising campaigns and track your results.

I’ve been doing all of these things for my own books for a long time. I’ve had lots of success and learned many hard lessons. Let me lend my expertise to get your marketing campaign up and running.

Media Kit

Are you ready to publish your book? Do you have a Media Kit ready to distribute to reviewers?

If not, no sweat. I will guide you through the process of writing an Author Bio, Q&A section, Press Releases and developing a tag line.


Newsletter

A regular email newsletter is the best way to keep your readers involved. They want to know little personal details about their favorite author. You can keep them informed about your progress on the next book and offer them special deals.

I will set up your newsletter and mailing service, but it’s up to you to keep publishing current content.
